We do not have anyone available to host this event, but we hate to see orphans for the holidays. So for those who can't make it home for Christmas you can all meet up and enjoy some holiday time together. Here's what we suggest.

To help you find each other, wear RED. (Can someone volunteer to bring our signature blue and purple balloons?) Use the key phrase, "Are you here to MEETUP for Sea Lions & Drinks at Pier 39?"

Many stores and restaurants are closed on Christmas Day, but not Pier 39. Pier 39 (part of Fisherman's Wharf) stays open for all the tourist in town. So first, to see the Sea Lions meet at 4pm behind Neptune's Waterfront Grill. It's locate at the end of Pier 39, to the left. Note that the sun sets very early, so you might want to come even earlier than 4pm to see them.

At 4:30pm take a tour around Pier 39, if you haven't done so already, and then make your way to Fog Harbor Fish House at 5pm. It's located at the entrance of PIER 39 (on the left as you enter the pier) on the second level. We recommend this spot because it has a large outdoor patio in the front. (Most places only have a small bar area.) Grab a drink at the bar (or ask for separate checks from the wait staff) and hang out in the front patio. Although seating is limited, there's plenty of standing room where you can roam around and meet and mingle with other singles. The drinks and food are not cheap, but you do get what you pay for; they are very delicious. Don't forget to take care of your own bill and tip the wait staff well.

Fog Harbor Fish House also has great food. But if you want to eat, you need a seat. So we highly recommend that you make a reservation with OpenTable.com OR... after you've made some new friends, if Fog Harbor is full feel free to go try one of the other great restaurants on Pier 39.

Parking: meters are free on holidays and there's a large parking garage too. For public transportation: from downtown SF, you can take the Muni F line to Fisherman's Wharf which runs along the scenic Embarcadero. Or if you want to be a real tourist, take the Cable Car Powell-Mason line which begins at the Powell/ Market turntable (Powell St BART), and the line runs from there up and over Nob Hill and down to Bay Street at Fisherman's Wharf. Pier 39 is part of Fisherman's Wharf.
