New Makerspace: Folsom Ave Facility Tour

Well…we did it!

We can finally, formally and very enthusiastically announce that Make Salt Lake will be signing the lease at 963 West Folsom Ave.

If you're newer to MSL, here's what that means: this is the next chapter for our shop — more capacity, better-designed spaces, and room for this community to grow into something bigger. And now the fun part: turning an empty building into our space.

We need your hands on this. Over the next few months we're going to need help:

• Sourcing tools, equipment, and materials.
• Finalizing floor plans for the new shops.
• Designing and building furniture for the space.

If you're looking for a way to meet people, learn a few things, and actually shape the place you're going to be making in — there's no better time to jump in.

Open to everyone — current and past members, soon to be members, friends and family. At the meeting we will:

• Tour the facility and walk through the current floor plans.
• Talk through the project timeline.
• Cover open positions on the Buildout Committee.
• Share volunteer opportunities for anyone who wants to help without joining the committee.

This is going to be one of the biggest projects the MSL community has ever taken on. Let's make something great together!
