Raspberry Jam Big Birthday Weekend 2019 - GUI-fy Your Pi

Everybody’s favorite single board computer, the Raspberry Pi, turns seven in March! To celebrate the occasion, the Raspberry Pi Foundation is coordinating a global network of events or ‘Raspberry Jams’ over the same weekend in 30+ countries for enthusiasts. The event is free of charge and open to all - you can bring your own Pi if you like but we’ll have plenty on hand. We’ll take you through a tour of all the projects the Assembly has built with this simple and inexpensive but versatile device over the years. To make it even more interesting, we’ll run a special hands-on workshop on how to create a graphical user interface for your Pi in Python using the TkInter toolkit. This will let you ditch the command line and control Pi-connected hardware directly from a custom GUI.

Prerequisites:
-All materials (including Raspberry Pis) will be provided, just bring your laptop
