Robo-makers (open to all)
Details
A first meetup to see who is out there, introduce some robotics concepts, and what folks might like out of future events about robots in Cambridge!
Open to everyone, especially for folks making or interested in making robots and all their various components - meaning motors, control systems, movement, computer vision, sensors, machine learning, power, and so on.
For this first meetup, we'll have a talk from the amazing Mat Cook (of Dogtooth Technologies (http://www.dogtoothtech.com/)), who will share a general overview of robotics with what's involved, what robotics can and can't do, some comparison with biological systems, plus what's involved in making something actually work and actually do things. We'll then have some discussion and chit chat, and see if there's interest in something like this, or something a bit different, in a future meetup/workshop/talk/whatever series.
If you can't make it, let Laura know if you'd be interested in attending/organising/participating in future events!
