Which legal issues matter for a growing tech business? ( open to all)

As you start and grow a technology business, one of the challenges is to work out when you really need external advice. You don’t have the time or money to get professional advice on everything, but how do you know which areas are urgent or important? This talk looks at some of the common areas where technology businesses might have legal issues, including IP protection, confidentiality agreements, and employment contracts, and asks why and when you might seek legal input – what is really important, and what can wait until later.

The talk will be given by Kevin Calder. Kevin is a partner and Head of Technology at national law firm Mills & Reeve. Kevin specialises in advising technology businesses on IP and commercial agreements, and acts for a range of clients from start ups through to listed plcs.
