This is an induction into the use of the Wood Lathe and Easywood tools in Makespace and the final step in becoming a qualified user. You need to have completed the on-line training successfully and be a full MakeSpace member (activated key fob).

You will need to use a dusk mask (PP2 standard, please bring your own) and eye protection for the session (available at Makespace).

If you have a particular project in mind let me know. Introduction to both spindle and faceplate turning will be part of the session and by the end you'll have 1 or 2 projects to continue practicing with.

The wood will be supplied, for which you're expected to pay £2.50 into iZettle. Please arrive in good time for the session in the secure workshop and get in touch at least a day before if you cannot make it anymore, to allow someone else to join the training.

Note - there are just three people as far as I can tell waiting for training. I can accommodate all three if needed on this date but it may mean the session will finish at 12.30.
