Makespace Book Arts

Bring your books, works in progress, ideas, half-finished projects, favourite bindings, repair jobs, and paper-based ambitions. Come learn, make, repair, explore, and workshop them alongside fellow book enthusiasts.
No experience necessary. Just bring curiosity and enthusiasm.
Makespace Book Arts is a collaborative, learn-together group for anyone interested in bookbinding, book repair, zines, artists' books, journals, sketchbooks, DIY publishing, paper craft, and related book arts.
This isn't a formal class. Everyone is encouraged to share techniques, discoveries, resources, projects, and questions. Some sessions may focus on a particular binding method or topic, while others may be open project nights.
Whether you're making your first pamphlet-bound zine, repairing a well-loved paperback, rebinding a favourite book, or experimenting with a new structure, you're welcome to join us.
Event timings are serving suggestions only; individual tolerances for folding paper, sewing signatures, and discussing obscure binding methods vary.
This event is for Makespace members, but feel free to bring guests.
