Educational group visiting Makespace - FYI and Volunteering opportunity

Volunteering opportunity - please contact rachelthorley@gmail.com if you could help with this (anything from helping with an actual activity, to just being present in the room at the same time)

I will be at Makespace with a group of 10-15 (aspiring engineering) students for a visit. The plan includes a brief tour of the space, some equipment demonstrations, and time for the students to learn some skills:

1. learning to solder - mini PCBs with LEDS and resistors
2. engraving keyrings using laser cutter (students do minimal design on computer - a trained makespace member operates the laser cutter)

Please note that this will not restrict or interfere with anyone else’s use of the space—we simply wanted to give you a heads-up that a group of young people will be present during that time.
