D Day on Ven

Lets take the opportunity to enjoy and explore the cosy and peaceful island of Ven.

**** The rough plan ****

Ven island in itself is small and cozy. Most of the interesting areas, buildings to see and activities are more or less within walk-able distance.

There are also other transportation alternatives, if one prefer instead:

• Traveling with bus (You should be able to purchase tickets with Skånetrafikens app)

When we first arrive at Bäckviken, the entry point of Ven, the plan is to start the day by having a small fika at one of the most well known cafes:
-Pumpans cafe (opening hours 11.00-17.00)

Later on we will go and check out following places:

-Tycho Brahe museum (opening hours 9.30-16.00)

This museum is dedicated to the work of the famous astronomer Tycho Brahe.

-Kyrkbackens Hamn. Its a small-boats harbour with a really relaxed atmosphere. Here one can also get different sorts of food or snacks by the kiosks and the mini restaurants close by and enjoy the surrounding.

-Spirit of Hven distillery (Depending on Time)

This famous distillery is known for their whiskey, gin and vodka.

-Vens Kulturhus (opening hours 11.00-16.00) (Depending on Time)

This place offers visitors to enjoy some different kinds of artwork.

**** Traveling ****

There is only one main way to get to Ven and that is by ferry at the ferry terminal at Landskrona.

The plan is to take the ferry at 10.00. Expected time to get to Ven is about 30 min.

The round trip will cost around 200 kr. You can either purchase a ticket online or on-site. If planning to purchase a ticket on-site at the ferry terminal, you need to be aware that this should be done in good time before on-boarding, preferably 20-30 min before departure.

For getting back to Landskrona we have two options in the afternoon, either at 16.45 or absolutely latest at 18:15.
