Summer Wars 4K | Re-Release (2009) - Vue Manchester Printworks

This is my first meetup event for this group, and I'm really excited! I've been hearing great things about this movie we're watching. The story follows a student who ends up in quite the pickle - he accidentally causes some major problems in a digital world called OZ and has to figure out how to fix them. Meanwhile, he's juggling this whole situation where he's pretending to be his friend's fiancé at her grandmother's 90th birthday party. Talk about awkward timing!

The movie runs for about 1 hour and 54 minutes, so we'll have plenty of time to dive into this digital adventure. It's directed by Mamoru Hosoda, who's known for creating some really compelling animated stories. The mix of real-world family drama and digital world chaos sounds like it could make for some interesting discussion afterward. Should be a fun way to kick off the meetup!
