Manchester Entrepreneurs is a community for business owners, founders and aspiring entrepreneurs across Greater Manchester who want to learn about starting and growing a business.
The idea is simple… bring people together to share experiences, discuss the challenges of building a business and learn from people who have actually done it.
Too many networking events are focused on sales pitches and self-promotion from people who’ve never done it. We want something different. Genuine conversations, practical advice and the opportunity to learn from other people’s successes and mistakes.
Having started a business from zero and grown it to over £1 million in annual turnover, I know first-hand how difficult the journey can be. From getting your first customers and winning contracts to managing cash flow, hiring staff and scaling a company, there’s a lot you only really learn by doing it. Finding people who’ve already faced those challenges and can offer genuine advice can make a huge difference.
Whether you’re thinking about starting your first business, trying to get one off the ground or looking to grow an established company, the aim is to learn from people who’ve been there before.
The first couple of events will be informal meetups to gauge interest and understand what members want from the group. If there’s enough demand, we’d like to organise talks from experienced founders, open discussions and practical sessions focused on starting and growing businesses.
