Join us for our relaxed over 50s Saturday Meetup run by our Pride in Ageing programme. As always there will be coffee, tea and biscuits.

At this meetup we will be visited by Samantha Barker a PhD researcher from Liverpool John Moores University to discuss a fascinating project exploring the cultural importance of the tailored suit within the LGBTQIA+ community during the 1970s and 1980s.

You’ll have the chance at the session to participate in a focus group discussion, during which you can share your personal stories related to the tailored suit with the researcher and fellow participants.

There’s no obligation to participate – participants who choose to take part in the research discussion will be asked to give consent for their words to be recorded and transcribed and will receive a shopping voucher for their time. For those who don’t wish to participate in the research discussion we will have our usual chats and tea/coffee.

Our Manchester ‘Pride in Ageing’ LGBTQ+ Over 50s Social events run monthly on the 1st Saturday of the month. The sessions will alternate each month between our Saturday Meetup events and our Digital Cafe sessions.

This event is for LGBTQ+ people over the age of 50.
