Queer Urban Photography Hike! 📸🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Join us for a relaxed urban hike from Ancoats to Castlefield, exploring Manchester's unique architecture and industrial heritage. This is a space to explore photography with your community and is open to all skill levels, ESPECIALLY beginners and first time dabblers!

When: 13th September at 14:00 (2:00 PM)

Where: Meeting at Social Refuge

The Route:
We'll be walking through some of Manchester's most photogenic spots!

📍 Ancoats
📍 Manchester Craft and Design Centre
📍 The Gay Village (Canal Street)
📍 St Peter's Square & the Central Library
📍 Deansgate

The hike ends at the Castlefield Viaduct, where we'll capture some final shots of the "garden in the sky" before it closes.

More route details will be provided in due course, but we anticipate the final route to be around 2 miles

This is not a teaching/learning event, but a safe and non-gatekeeping space to explore photography and the city with your community. You do not require any fancy cameras, bring a simple point and shoot, your phone, or just bring yourself if you’d rather just join in for the walk!

For those wanting to stay out, we’ll head for some social drinks afterwards! :)

Duration: Approximately 90-120 minutes, including time for photos.
