About us
Who likes a nice beer? We do! Manchester has got so many good pubs, bars and brewtaps that we thought we should do a semi-regular Meetup event to try some of them out!
Don't like beer? Don't drink? There are plenty of alternatives available at the venues we will be visiting so feel free to join us!

MJF: Femme De La Femme
HOME Manchester, 2, Tony Wilson Place,, M15 4FN, Manchester, GBNow for something completely different...
Let's check out some alternative jazz! Nice!
Previous year's have seen a festival bar from Neighbourhood Brew Co. (based in Poynton) so hopefully there will be the same or similar this year.
We'll grab a beer and check out Femme De La Femme.
From the Manchester Jazz Festival website:
Femme De La Femme’s music is an amalgamation of art forms within the jazz realm – with the band comprising different musical backgrounds, they blend the sound worlds of classical, Jazz, Soul, RnB, Cabaret and Poetry into one big celebration of femininity. Made up solely of queer & FINTA* musicians, they’re passionate about bringing gender diversity to the forefront of the jazz scene. Femme De La Femme make music that speaks to the richness of their lived experiences as a gender-diverse ensemble through sensuality and storytelling. They seek to transport listeners into their world leaving them feeling connected to the femininity that lives within us all.
**FINTA – Female, Intersex, Nonbinary, Transgender, Agender *
We can decide to stay on or watch some more jazz. Let's see what the weather is like...!
Any questions please holler!

CANAL STREET KINGS - VEXXED
The Brewers, 4 Canal Street M1 3HE, Manchester, GB#### Details
Listen, we’re all thinking it. We’re all feeling it.
2026 has had a rough start and there’s a new crisis every time you look at the news! “Anarchy in the uk”? more like Anarchy across the world! Sometimes you just wanna bury your head in the sand, but that’s not gonna change anything!
Canal street kings presents: VEXXED.
Friday 29th of May 2026
At The Brewers Canal street
Doors open at 6:30pm
Starts @ 7pm Sharp
Canal street kings has always put our money where our mouth is, by consistently supporting charities which positively contribute to our community. But this month, alongside your usual opportunity to donate to; Stonewall Housing, Equality network, Mosaic LGBT+ YP trust, The Kaleidoscope Trust and Galop when you purchase your ticket, we will also be collecting donations for Samaritans, a uk based charity which offers essential anonymous support for anyone in crisis.
This is a night for the grit, the noise, and the absolute chaos of just existing as a queer person right now.
We’ll be drawing inspiration from the Punk movement of the late 1970’s as well as M. Worley’s book No Future: …Emphasising the importance of community and collective action in creating social change.
Showing that queers in MCR and beyond are determined to challenge the status quo and make a positive impact on the world by being visible, being together and being LOUD. We’re stronger together.
We’re calling out for new acts and marginalised performers to fill our open stage this month. This is your space to spill it.
Got a poem that feels like a punch? A song that’s raw and real? An artistic expression which gives you release? Cathartism so chaotic it makes the room spin?
Bring it! No gatekeepers, no "professional" standards.
Just you, the mic, and five minutes of whatever you need to get off your chest.
TKMAXXIMUS will be hosting this month and is ready to tear the roof off!!
It’s a drag show, but make it PUNK.
Think heavy boots, sharp silhouettes, battle jackets and the total dismantling of “gender norms” or whatever the fuck that’s supposed to be.Don’t be Dick and Kindness is King
Come as you are, Whether that’s covered in studs, wrapped in lace, or just wearing the shirt you slept in. DIY isn’t a look; it’s a lifestyle.
Stop swallowing the anger. Come spit it out instead.
