With new advances in technology, the way we consume music through our devices, apps and on demand streaming services like Pandora, Spotify and iTunes is making the idea of the “album” as an art form extinct.
Get together with other music enthusiasts to discuss some of the greatest records of all-time! Listen to the album beforehand and then come prepared to discuss. This event will feature David Bowie, Hunky Dory.
This event is offered BOTH in person and via Zoom. Join us in person at the Great Hall Auditorium on the Campus of Monmouth University or join us via zoom. When you register you will be provided the ZOOM meeting link to join the conversation.

On May 7th at 6PM EST, Nicolle will guide us through creating a bright, vibrant American lamb pesto pasta with seasonal spring vegetables, creamy feta, and a fresh homemade pesto.
This one pot dish brings together rich, savory ground American lamb with crisp asparagus, sweet peas, and fresh herbs for a meal that feels both elevated and effortlessly approachable. You will learn how to build bold, balanced flavors and bring together a restaurant worthy spring pasta that is perfect for everything from easy weeknights to celebrating with family.
Tune in on Instagram Live to cook along step by step, ask questions in real time, and be part of the fun! You will also receive a custom recipe card so you can recreate the dish anytime. Trust us, this is a fresh and flavorful way to celebrate the season and treat yourself or someone special this Mother’s Day.Grocery List:
For the Pasta- 1 lb short pasta (rigatoni, fusilli, or shells work great!)
- 1 lb ground American Lamb
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed & cut into 1–2 inch pieces
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for some heat)
- ¾ cup feta cheese
- ½ cup parmesan cheese
For the Homemade Pesto
- 2 cups fresh basil
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese (fresh is best if possible)
- ⅓ cup pine nuts (or walnuts)
- 1 clove garlic
- ½ cup olive oil
- Juice of ½ lemon
- ½ tsp salt
What you need to do to prepare for the event:
Have out all your ingredients and chop veggies before hand if possible. We will be going through step by step how to make the pesto, lamb and pasta together.What you will need:
- pot to cook pasta
- cooking pan
- cutting board
- food processor or blender (to make pesto)
- knife
