Follow Piero, a recently separated philosophy professor, and Lara, a talented furniture restorer, on an awkward first date in Rome. As they get to know each other, the film humorously externalizes and navigates their competing inner voices—their instinctive, romantic, logical, and impulsive thoughts—ultimately revealing their hidden desires and a universal quest for the perfect match.
