• What we'll do
Mead, turkey legs, cosplay, a trebuchet, why wouldn't we have an annual meetup there? Afterwards we'll go to Benihana. http://www.ren-fest.com/ From their website: "Browse through our enchanted crafts Village where over one hundred merchants and artisans demonstrate and sell their wares. Behold glass blowing, hammered pewter, wooden toys, unique pottery, clothing and a wealth of other riches. Applaud Hundreds of Performers, not only on our twelve stages but literally all around you. Sword fighters, minstrels, magicians, wenches and more. For all the world’s a stage. Cheer Battling Knights, as they mount their steeds, lower their visors, aim their lances and charge at full tilt, thrice daily. Feast on Hearty Food fit for a King! Visit the Pub and toast to the Royal Court with a tankard of ale or cider. Hip! Hip! Huzzah! Play Games of Chance and games of skill which challenge both young and old alike…archery, the test of strength, Jacob’s Ladder and more…"
Tickets are $25, parking is free
They have themes for the different weekends of the faire, our weekend is Kilts and Colleens. "Sing, dance and be merry in your finest kilt whilst bagpipes blare throughout the Shire. Celebrate the Celtic traditions of the Irish, Scots, Cornish and Welsh during this uniquely themed weekend that honors this group of European tribes that existed during the Iron Age through Medieval Times!"
Note: some of us will be there at 10:00 when it opens, others expect to arrive throughout the day, don't be discouraged if you don't see us right away. If you want to find someone call Tristan 786 236 2269 or Smiles for our current location.
