Join the Manhattan Women's Social Meetup for a fun and casual lunch at Sea Salt (Greek/Mediterranean restaurant).

I understand that the date falls within the Rosh Hashanah holiday and I don't mean to offend anyone. The restaurant manager agreed to let me have 30 people at the restaurant (with no hassle) but only on 9/24 (probably because he knows business will be low that day).

I have eaten there once before and found it to be a cute little place with good food and asked the manager then and there if I could bring a large group.

I hope to see you on the 24th! I will be asking for your cell phone numbers as part of the RSVP. Please know that only you and I will be able to see them. You will notice that you can't see anyone else's number.

Summary of Button Man
1930s, New York's Lower East Side. At the death of their father, Morris Rabishevsky, twelve, apprenticed himself to a garment cutter in a clothing factory; Sol headed to accounting school; but Harry fell in with a gang of thugs. Morris steadily climbs through the ranks at the factory, goes out on his own, and convinces Sol to come work with him. But Harry can't be lured away from the power and the money that come from his association with Louis Buchalter, the most ruthless mobster in New York. When Buchalter sets his sights on the unions that staff the garment makers' factories, he pits brother against brother.

Historical fiction fans will be drawn in by the details of the author's own family history in the garment industry.

Join other members of the Manhattan Women's Social Meetup who enjoy playing Canasta! We will NOT be teaching canasta at this event. It is okay if you are a beginner, but you MUST have taken lessons and/or have played often in the past.

We will have 4-5 tables of four. If any of you have 2 decks of cards, deck holders (that spin) and/or quiet, manual card shufflers that you could bring, please let me know by Meetup messaging me, calling or texting me at 612-998-9368 or leaving a message in the discussion part of this posting.

Lunch - choice of the following:

• GARDEN EGG SCRAMBLE - mushrooms, green peas, zucchini, cheddar served with market greens
• FAT & FLUFFY FRENCH TOAST - strawberries, warm maple syrup
• POWER BOWL - Tuscan kale, quinoa, pistachios, apples, beets, goat cheese, sherry shallot vinaigrette
