Maptime Winter 2024: Towers and Transit!

Come join us for our Winter 2024 Maptime Bay Area event as we (continue) to bring back Maptime on a quarterly basis!

This event will feature 2 speakers:

1: "Eight Stories High, Comically Lo-Res, Visible for Twenty Miles: Spiraling Maps Atop Salesforce Tower" - Eric Theise

• Eric will speak about If Map #5, which crowns Salesforce Tower throughout February; A Synesthete's Atlas, which has been performed thirty times across North America since its Lisbon premiere in 2022; and Carto-OSC, the real time cartography toolkit used in creating both.

2: "Transitland is almost 10: retrospective on building a global transit database" - Ian Rees, Interline.io

• A brief history of the Transitland project and examples on how to use various Transitland APIs to query schedule and map data
