Spring 2024: OS mapmaking w/ Protomaps + Making accessibility part of your maps

Come join us for our Spring 2024 Maptime Bay Area event as we (continue) to bring back Maptime on a quarterly basis!

This event will feature 2 speakers:

1: "Open Source Mapmaking with Protomaps" - Brandon Liu (Protomaps)

• Brandon is the creator and lead developer of the Protomaps open source project. He'll present about the PMTiles open format, the history of FOSS map tech and business models, and the road ahead to finally making custom interactive mapmaking available to everyone.

2: "Accessibility in web maps" - Dan Rademacher (GreenInfo Network)

• GreenInfo Network will share their continuing efforts to support accessibility needs and requirements in the web mapping space. This grows out of a panel and training we did in fall 2023 at the North American Cartographic Information Society conference, followed by a focused all-staff sprint in January 2024 to build our skills. We're not experts yet, but we want to share as we learn!
