TOTTENHAM COMMUNITY COHESION & RACE RELATIONS — SATURDAY OPEN FORUM
Join us for an informal community gathering dedicated to improving race relations, encouraging community cohesion, sharing historical knowledge and exploring constructive ideas for Tottenham's future.
Our proposed meeting place is the Marcus Garvey Library, subject to venue confirmation.
Participants are invited to drop in, exchange experiences, raise questions and suggest subjects for discussion throughout the day.
Topics may include Black history, Marcus Garvey and Bernie Grant, the future of the Marcus Garvey Centre and Library, cultural heritage, community safety, policing, institutional racism, public accountability and reparatory justice.
We will encourage evidence-based discussions, respectful differences of opinion and practical proposals for improving community relations.
Our principles: Protection, not confrontation. Cooperation, not escalation. Evidence, not rumours.
All backgrounds are welcome. Attendance is free.
Organised by John Canoe, Reparation Nation Limited.
Proposed schedule: Every Saturday, 10:00 AM–4:00 PM, subject to venue arrangements.
