Married Empty Nest Couples of Houston

This group is limited to people who are fully vaccinated for Covid 19. 💉 This is a group for MARRIED COUPLES with (at least) high school-aged, college-aged or older children who are looking to make friends and do fun activities in the Inner Loop Houston area.

We are inclusive of all ages, races, ethnicities, nationalities, and sexual orientations, as long as you consider yourself a committed couple with older kids. We also ask that all of our members be fully vaccinated for Covid-19, for the safety of everyone in the group, since most of our activities take place indoors, including inside members’ homes. You don’t need to live inside the Inner Loop to participate — just be aware that most of the activities planned will take place inside the Loop, unless they are hosted by members who live farther out than we do. 😁

My husband, Kevin, and I are empty nesters (two daughters who are both just out of college) who moved to Houston in 2019 for work. We hadn't had a chance to make a lot of friends before Covid quarantines severely limited our socializing. Once we were vaccinated in 2021, I started the Houston Inner Loop Empty Nest Moms Meetup group to make more Houston friends. A lot of the women in that group have asked if their spouses could participate in events. So Kevin and I have decided to start a companion group to the HILENM Meetup group to do group activities that include our spouses.

Activities we plan to do in this group include, but aren’t limited to, restaurant get-togethers, dinner parties, attending sporting events, museum visits, happy hours, playing sports, going dancing, live theater, and maybe even road trips. If it sounds like something fun to do with friends, we are game to put it on the calendar. 🎉
