Become "Marseille-friendly" and meet local French and Expats for conversation and fun! Meet english speakers and newcomers who want to speak french and english in a nice group, and discover this city. Marseille based group for french and english speakers of all ages and nationalities. We'll have regular events to meet- up and share interests whilst having a good time. Some events can be in Aix or even on Côte d'Azur locations. We ll' try to make our events bi-monthly. Nous organiserons des sorties au restaurant, dans les bars sympas de la ville, au cinema, et pourquoi pas à des concerts ? Et bien sûr nous participerons à des activités d'extérieur (plage, pique-nique...) ou sportives (rando) mais chacun à son rythme ! I am eager to listen to your own ideas about future events ! This group is now run on a cooptation basis, therefore if you want to become a member you have to answer first to a few easy questions about you, and then join us in one of our get-togethers.

"On Air" festival at La Friche - synthwave
Friche la Belle de Mai, 41 Rue Jobin, Marseille, FREvery Summer, the art centre at La Friche Belle de Mai organises open air music on the rooftop every Friday and Saturday. These are always great events, with a fun atmosphere, funky music, and a spectacular view over the city! And it's a great opportunity to discover one of the coolest places in Marseille!
For our second event of the Summer, there's a night of Turkish influences - Güner Künier, a Turkish-German post-punk artist, and local radio station Radio Grenouille working with an independent Istanbul radio station Açik Radyo. The doors open at 7:30, and there will be bars and food stalls available. I recommend arriving early, just so you can enjoy the sunset over the bay of Marseille! The rooftop space is huge, and there's a large dance area in front of the DJ box. The music finishes at 11:30, so we can easily go back into the city to keep the party going 🙂
