Beaujolais night

Beaujolais nouveau is a big event in France - when the first wine production of 2025 arrives on the market. The wine is a "vin primeur" (early, quick production), so it normally is not the greatest quality, and has a strong acid flavour.

We had a great event last year, we joined our friends at Rive Sud Vins, a wine shop near the Vieux Port. They served us older Beaujolais wines, which have been in storage for a few years and had the time to develop a finer, more refined taste! 🍷. It was a big success, and they've invited us to do the same this year 😃

There will be wines from different producers in the Beaujolais region, including one very famous winemaker (Armand Heitz), and there will be cheese and tapenade plates, if you're hungry! The prices will be reasonable (€5-7 a glass), and it's a great opportunity to discover some different wines and a very good wine shop in the city centre! This is guaranteed to be a fun evening of lovely food and drink that won't break the bank!
