Intro to D&D: Learn to Play
Details
We’re excited to announce a brand-new event designed especially for folks who are curious about Dungeons & Dragons but don’t quite know where to start…
Intro to D&D: Learn to Play
This is a two-hour, beginner-friendly one-shot built from the ground up for new players. No experience required. No pressure. Just learning the game, rolling dice, and having fun in a welcoming Blerd space.
Details:
- Where: Games & Stuff (Glen Burnie), Mindflayer Room
- When: February 22nd at 11:00 AM
(We’ll need to start on time since another group is scheduled after us) - Length: ~2 hours
- Cost: $10
What you get:
- A free bag of dice (yours to keep)
- A pre-generated character sheet
- A guided, in-person introduction to how D&D actually works
We’ll cover the basics… character roles, rolling dice, combat, roleplay, and how to think like an adventurer… all through play, not lectures. By the end, you’ll know whether D&D is your jam and feel confident jumping into a longer game.
This is perfect if:
- You’ve always wanted to try D&D but felt intimidated
- You’ve watched others play and thought, “That looks fun”
- You want a low-stakes, friendly introduction to the hobby
Spots will be limited so everyone gets attention and table time. Please RSVP and pay through Meetup (here). If you’ve got friends who’ve been “D&D curious,” this is the event to send them to.
Hope to see some new heroes at the table soon.
