About us
This group meets monthly to discuss subjects of import to humanity. From philosophy and religion to science, history, and politics, this study center presents, discusses and debates a variety of subjects in the hope of gaining a better understanding of ourselves and the universe around us. By meeting and discussing important ideas and issues, we grow in understanding, tolerance, and wisdom.
The Masonic Philosophical Society was created by Universal Freemasonry to promote the eradication of ignorance in all its forms. Any person who is a freethinker, tolerant and open, and who seeks rational discourse is invited to attend and learn more about oneself, the world, the universe, and Freemasonry.
Free and open to the public. All sincere seekers welcome — no prior knowledge of Freemasonry or esoteric traditions required, only a genuine love of ideas.
This is the first gathering of an ongoing series.
Mission Statement
The Masonic Philosophical Society embraces the concept of learning, not for school, but for life, and believes that all men, who seek it, deserve access to continued education. We further embrace the concept of a community environment, where ideas can be shared and debated in an open forum. From the seven liberal arts to the arcane, we seek to gain and to share the knowledge that is the legacy of mankind.

Myth After Modernity: Can Fantasy Re-enchant the Moral Imagination?
Anthroposophical Society, 2514 Alaula Way, Honolulu, HI, USMay's will be conducted by Bro. Nathan Hardy as he asks the question, "Myth After Modernity: Can Fantasy Re-enchant the Moral Imagination?"
Synopsis:
In an age shaped by science, systems, and endless consumption, why does fantasy still grip the modern soul? What are we seeking in enchanted worlds, heroic quests, and mythic landscapes? This month’s MPS will explore whether modern fantasy has helped recover the moral imagination—or whether it reduces myth to something we consume rather than live. We will consider fantasy not merely as entertainment, but as a possible school of wonder, virtue, and meaning, while also asking whether ready-made worlds can weaken deeper imaginative and spiritual powers. At stake is a larger question: can fantasy recover a true enchantment that forms character, or does it too easily slip into escapism disguised as wonder?Mission Statement:
