About us

Welcome to the Massachusetts Portrait Artists Group!
(Former meetup group for Boston Figurative Art Center)

This group brings together portrait artists across Massachusetts who share a passion for capturing the human face, character, and emotion through art.

Whether you work in traditional oil painting, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, graphite, or other mediums, you are welcome here—from beginners and art students to experienced artists and professional painters.

Our goals are to:

🖌️ Organize live-model portrait drawing and painting sessions.
🎨 Share artwork, techniques, materials, and artistic inspiration.
🤝 Connect with local portrait artists and build a supportive creative community.
🖼️ Exchange constructive feedback and learn from one another.
📅 Arrange in-person meetups, workshops, and collaborative art events

Whether you want to improve your skills, find fellow artists to paint with, or simply share your love of portrait art, this is the place for you!
