Mate Club de Conversación is a space that fosters Spanish and English exchange among native speakers.
This meetup group is specifically for international students currently living in Buenos Aires who want to improve their Spanish skills. We believe that direct contact with native speakers is the best way to learn a language. Mate Club allows an environment where students can take the skills they've learned in the classroom and put them into use in a non-judgemental environment. Furthermore, students gain insight into phrases, grammar, and slang specific to Argentina. Vise-versa, the ability to communicate with native English speakers is also an important asset for those in Argentina learning English.
Mate is used in Argentina as a symbol of friendship and therefore is used as an emblem in Mate Club to promote the act of creating long-lasting bonds here in Argentina.
Joining Mate Club will allow students studying in Buenos Aires to make the most of their experience abroad; providing a space for culture and language exchange.
