South Asian art scholar Melia Belli Bose will explore the bold ideas behind The Paglees: Between Reason and Madness, from feminism and identity to cultural resistance and collective power. After the talk, artist and activist Monica Jahan Bose will present a short performance that weaves personal narrative with climate justice and women’s empowerment.

Who are The Paglees? A fierce collective of South Asian artists living across the U.S., The Paglees confront patriarchy, colonialism, and cultural erasure with wit, beauty, and resistance. Their exhibition features mixed media works, performance, sculpture, and more.
