What we’re about
People who enjoy the culture of creativity and quirkiness of the McMenamins chain of restaurants and entertainment venues. Come meetup for tours, movies, golf, brewfests, concerts & live music, wine & whiskey tastings, specialty dinners, historical events, friends & family nights, travel, or just sitting around a fire pit with a favorite beverage for a good conversation.
Open to anyone 21 and older who wants to simply meet new friends and enjoy the wide variety of offerings at the many McMenamins establishments. Though it's not at all required, having a McMenamins Passport is encouraged.
Events will offer an invitation to meetup at a particular McMenamins location for one of their scheduled events or for a simple gathering for drinks and conversation.
In general these will not be “group activities”—in other words, they won’t be designed to get everyone involved in a specific activity. The gatherings will simply offer people who love McMenamins the chance to get together with other people who live McMenamins. Though you’re encouraged to visit with as many people as possible, any structured aspects will be “opt in.” (Hopefully the introverts among us are rejoicing—internally, of course.) If you’d like to bring along games or other interactive means of inviting people to have McMenamins style funn together, feel free. We’re all about the funn!
Eventually, however, the hope is to offer some gatherings that are structured to be interactive. In other words, you’ll be opting into interaction with others by registering.
Suggestions for gathering spots or activities are welcomed and encouraged.
