Potluck at a Real Working Vancouver Farm!

Details
This event only happens once a year so don't miss it!
Visiting Southlands Farm makes you feel as though you have left Vancouver, but it is a real farm right here in the city. This is a vegetarian farm, as the eggs are eaten, but our potluck is VEGAN (though open to all from omnivore to vegan).
You're welcome to visit the many horses and also the goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, and pigs. Many of the animals are rescued.
As Southlands Farm is a charity, they ask each attendee to make a donation of any size.
Volunteers will be needed for clean up, food table, greeting, and set up. Volunteers get to eat first.
Only volunteer for SET UP if you are strong and can lift tables and stacks of chairs and are okay with bringing supplies to clean dirty chairs and tables. GREETERS need to arrive at 5:25pm. We need SERVERS for the food table, so we don't have everyone touching the same serving spoons and can be COVID-19 safe. We need the most volunteers on CLEAN UP but you don't have to stay late to be on the clean up team.
Please bring your own plate and utensils and water bottle. There is nowhere to wash dishes so please bring a bag to take your dirty things home in.
Please bring a dish with no animal products in it. One person should bring a dish containing about six servings (big scoops) with an ingredient list (so people know what's in it in case of allergies). Don't forget the serving spoon.
If you don't cook, bringing fruit salad is a great idea. Unlike our cooking potlucks, store bought vegan deli food from places like Choices or Whole Foods is also very welcome. Bringing nothing or just some chips or uncut bananas or oranges, however, is not acceptable. So, either buy a dish or prepare something please.
You don't need to know someone who is coming or bring a guest of your own to comfortably attend. There's lots to see and do at the farm and many people to talk to. When you arrive, check in with one of the greeters or other volunteers.
This event will be all outdoors. Don't wear clothes or shoes you wouldn't want to get dirty. The chairs are dirty and you'll be walking on dirt paths.
If it rains, the event will be postponed to Saturday, August 6th.
