Join us to watch "Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story". This is both an entertaining and a concerning local look at the issue of food waste from farm to retail to our own fridges.

Following the film, we will have two brief talks and a Q&A/discussion session.
Speaker 1: Jim Hisao is a long time dumpster diver.
Speaker 2: Rhoda Klein Miller and Amanda Lorefice will be speaking about the OAC Community Fridges program as a food waste reduction strategy

Meatless Meetup is partnering up with Oakridge Seventh Day Adventist Church (OAC_a church that promotes the plant based diet) to offer this film to our members for free at their community hall.

Refreshments provided will include: popcorn, fruit and veggie platters, cookies, crackers, VEGAN PUMPKIN PIE, tea & decaf coffee.

Some volunteers are needed for set up and tear down (70 chairs). Please contact Nancy if you would like to be on the team to help make this wonderful event go smoothly.'

If you have a canned good or a pantry item you don't want or could spare, please bring it along to donate to the Community Fridges program.
