It's Solstice / Christmas / Channukah / Festivus and we're having a holiday party with a twist.

What to bring: Food bank donation. Vegan side dish. Plate & Utensils. Good Cheer! Doors at 6:30.

Earthsave Canada is waiving the entrance fee and instead asking you to bring a donation for the foodbank. We'll have a great time while making a difference this year by donating some nutritious plant based food to the food bank.

Doors open at 6:30. We will start eating by 7pm--no long waits. To get in, you must be registered here and bring a donation for the food bank. As attendance is limited, please update your RSVP if your plans change so you do not keep others out.

Field Roast is providing the main course, so you only need to bring a side dish or dessert. Field Roast Grain Meats are made with traditional practices in small batches, using Canadian Winter White Wheat, fresh vegetables and spices. (www.fieldroast.com (http://www.fieldroast.com/))

Your side dish should be a plant based dish to share with other potluck-goers. Store bought or homemade dishes are both fine. All we ask is that your food not contain animal products so that everyone from omnivore to vegan can partake. Make sure you bring enough for 8 people to take a good sized scoop so that we're sure to have enough food.

Please bring your own plate and utensils and a bag to take them home to wash, since no one wants to stay behind washing dishes.

This is a great opportunity to mix and mingle and meet some of the people who are part of this group. And it will all be finished by 9 so still time to attend any other holiday parties on the same evening.

The event takes place at Kits Neighbourhood House (7th and Vine) because it's a beautiful venue that gave us a cheap charity rate for the rental. There is limited parking behind and free street parking a short walk away. Busses stop nearby both on 4th Ave and on Broadway.

If you want to volunteer for this event, please contact Nancy. Volunteering is great if you're shy because it gives you an excuse to talk to and meet a lot of people.
