Meditation Class The constant traveller. Taking a journey to the heart 7pm - 8.15pm Thursday 22nd Oct. with Ian McGlade in person or on Zoom or YouTube @265 Ormeau Rd Belfast Classes are available to anyone with an interest in just meditation, or meditation and buddhist teachings made relevant to the modern age. No special experience, clothing or equipment is needed. Complete beginners and those with years of experience can join in. You can sit on a chair or cross legged on a cushion. Everyone can do it. Each classes includes: 20min guided breathing meditation 25min talk, pertaining to the class theme that week 15min guided meditation, to take the theme to heart, develop our own experience of it, as well as create positive intentions to carry out into that week. Guided by Ian McGlade, returning recently from a 6 month full time intensive teacher training programme. Ian sessions so far have been well received, sharing Buddha's wisdom insights with humour and humility. Fees range from a donation of £6 full price or £3 concession /class, £24 /month gives you access to all sessions and recordings https://meditateni.org/membership/ and we have a request system at https://meditateni.org/request to access classes for free for those with low income. Monday once a month 7pm – 8:15pm CRUN Causeway Rural and Urban Network, 1 Brook St, Coleraine BT52 1EN 2020. 2 Mar, 6 Apr, 4 May, 8 June, 24 Aug, 21 Sep, 19 Oct, 16 Nov Meditation classes with Buddhist Nun Gen Kelsang Chitta will include: 20 mins Guided relaxation meditation 30 mins Talk 15 mins Guided meditation These classes are a great opportunity to be guided in meditation and to listen to interesting talks that will inspire, uplift and help you to improve your state of mind and learn how to deal with problems and stress in a more constructive way. Guided by Gen Kelsang Chitta of Potala Kadampa Buddhist Centre. Ordained as a Buddhist nun in 2009, by Tibetan Buddhist Master Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, Gen Chitta has many years of experience of teaching meditation and buddhism in a way that makes it easy and accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of interest. Each class starts with a guided breathing meditation, followed by a talk and a final guided meditation. All are welcome. Seating is provided on chairs. No special clothing is required. £6/ class pay as you go on arrival. No need to book, just come along.
