About Our Guided Silent Saturday Meditation Retreats

These half-day retreats – gentle, peaceful meditations, unplugged from the digital world – are super helpful in our modern age, and we warmly invite you to take advantage of them.

On June 21, Breathe Your Way to Inner Peace, Kadam Lucy will introduce and guide us in three 45-minute meditation sessions, focused on (1) the simplest breathing meditation, (2) dark and light breathing meditation, and (3) breathing meditation and mantra.

In between sessions feel free to hang out and relax, including on the patio – read one of our library books, sit quietly, drink coffee, stroll to the lake …

Overall, treat yourself to a well earned and much needed break, and learn some practical skills for keeping this peace going back at home and at work.

Beginners or old-timers, everyone is welcome to join in.

What to expect on the day

  • Simple guided meditations
  • Brief teachings about the meditations
  • Silent breaks for tea, contemplation or reading
  • Opportunity for Q & A and discussion at the end
  • No experience necessary, everyone is welcome

Our monthly Guided Silent Saturdays will offer:

1. A break from technology! If we step away from the constant buzz of notifications, social media, and digital obligations, we create space for introspection and mental clarity, so often elusive in our fast-paced world. This is a profound opportunity to disconnect from our distractions and connect with what is really important in our lives

2. Expertly guided meditations on the clarity of the mind and the stages of the path to enlightenment lead us further along in our spiritual journey toward lasting peace and mental freedom.

3. Silence is golden! It is not just the absence of speech, but a powerful tool for self-discovery and healing. It helps us stay in the moment and feel more unity with all other beings.

4. All this promotes compassion, patience, growth, resilience, bliss, and emotional balance – qualities much needed in our individual lives and society at large.
