What if you could genuinely quiet your mind — not just slow it down, but actually experience a few minutes of real stillness?
That's what this free class is about.
Join your neighbors for a relaxed, welcoming hour of guided meditation at the Helen Plum Library in Lombard. No prior experience is needed. No special clothing. No commitment. Just show up and see for yourself.
This class uses a simple, seated meditation technique that anyone can follow. Many people feel a noticeable sense of calm within their first session — even those who have struggled with meditation apps or classes before.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Arrive anytime between 5:50 and 6:00 PM
- Fully guided meditation — your teacher walks you through every step
- No sitting on the floor required — chairs are provided
- Time for questions and relaxed conversation afterward
- You leave whenever you're ready
Organized by local volunteers who have been practicing and sharing this meditation for years. We hold classes twice a month at this location, based on room availability. Come once and see if it's right for you.
