The lineage
From Buddha Shakyamuni, this lineage passed through great masters such as Atisha and Je Tsonghkhapa to our present Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.Geshe-la, a humble Buddhist monk dedicated his life to helping people find peace in their hearts through the practice of meditation.
The teachers
Gen Chitta is an ordained Buddhist Nun who has practiced Buddhist meditation for many years.Gen Chitta teaches with clarity, and gentle caring humour. Her experience enables her to teach profound ancient topics with simplicity making them accessible to our modern thinking and living.
Ian McGlade, a practitioner of Kadampa Buddhism for many years, has a talent for bringing the meditations and practices to life with everyday examples, enthusiasm and inspiration. His talks are relatable, practical and up lifting.
The location
Ards Friary lies within 200 acres of sublime ancient woodland with near access to the most beautiful beaches.Its' peace and serenity have meditative qualities, allowing you to wonder and explore the stunning natural beauty.
