Pure Mind, Pure World
Bru Moytura Retreat Centre, Bru Moytura, Corlisheen, County Sligo, IECreating a Pure World Retreat
Pure Mind, Pure World
Book at meditateni.org/dec-2025/
If our mind is peaceful and happy our world appears to us as agreeable, if our mind is agitated and disturbed the world can appear as a frightening place. Similarly when our mind is pure, our experiences are pure and we are happy. When our mind is impure, we experience our world in a negative way and then naturally create more problems both for ourself and others. Through the power of our mind we create our own world and experiences
Buddha Shakyamuni said, “There is no creator other than the mind.” There is no world separate from our mind.
One of the most powerful methods Buddha taught to purify our mind is the meditation and recitation of Buddha Vajrasattva. The practice of Buddha Vajrasattva is a powerful method for purifying our impure mind and actions.Through this practice, we can swiftly and joyfully cleanse our mind of all impurity and eventually become a pure being, abiding in a pure world with the power to benefit others..
Who is Buddha Vajrasattva?
Buddha Vajrasattva is the Buddha of Purification. The manifestation of the completely pure mind of all Buddhas, appearing in the aspect of a white-coloured Buddha specifically to purify the negativities of living beings.
Purification
The practice of Meditation and Recitation of Buddha Vajrasattva is a powerful method for purifying our mind and actions.
Benefits of this Practice
Purifies negativity: It cleanses the mind, removes the obstacles to realising our spiritual potential, and remove the causes of future suffering.
Pacifies obstacles: It removes hindrances to experiencing lasting happiness and spiritual progress.
Attains freedom: By purifying negative karma, one can attain future happiness and spiritual realizations.
Transforms the mind: It changes an impure mind into a completely pure one.
