April 16, 23, 30
Meditation is at the heart of what we do here at Kadampa Mediation Center Texas. Please join us for this series of classes focusing on extracting the full meaning of our Lamrim meditations. With each of our meditations on Lamrim, we can examine our mind, like looking into a mirror. Why do I want what I want? What are my reasons for improving myself at this time? The answers to these questions will change as we continue our progress in meditation practice. Reflecting in this way, our spiritual perspective will broaden, and we will develop a more and more stable experience of happiness.

Healing the Mind with the Medicine of Dharma
KADAMPA MEDITATION CENTER TEXAS, 1875 Laws St., Dallas, TX, USA Mediation Series at KMC Texas
If we can accept that craving, anger, ignorance and other negative states of the mind are like diseases that make our body and mind unhealthy, we'll naturally want to find an effective way to start healing. Dharma is the Sanskrit word for Buddha's wisdom. Meditating on this wisdom is regarded as medicine for the mental pain caused by our negative minds.
Sometimes people encourage us to engage in meditation as part of a healthy lifestyle. If we've never meditated, we might wonder how such a simple action can have a healing effect. But, once we get started – especially with the meditations at the heart of Buddha's teachings – we can see why so many people recommend meditation.
Everyone is welcome to this class. The advice we'll receive is practical, relatable, and well suited to our busy lifestyles.
