Loss and Grief: A Buddhist Perspective
Details
Loss and Grief: A Buddhist Perspective with Modern Buddhism Teacher Hannah Kim
Sadly, it happens in life that the experience of loss and separation from loved ones, touches our lives, either through illness, injury or simply the natural process of aging and time. It can be difficult to make sense of these times. We may turn to friends, family, or even google for help and reassurance, but still the relief and answers we long for are often elusive. Furthermore, we may find ourselves grappling with larger questions in life such as, why do these sufferings happen to us? And how can we live the experience of loss with grace, and gain some understanding of what actually happens when we die?
In this course, will introduce meditations that can be used to provide a safe harbor for our hearts and minds during these hard times and in the aftermath of death. Buddha gave many important teachings on death and impermanence, the truth of which has comforted and given answers and hope to many through the ages.
