Sunday Morning Meditation
Kosala Kadampa Buddhist Center, 101 Cosgrove Avenue, Suite 142, Chapel Hill, NC, USPrayers for Peace: New Eight Steps to Happiness
Our mind has the power to make good things happen in our own personal life and in the world at large. The key is to establish, in our own mind, the causes of the world we want to see, by developing a heart that cherishes everyone.
This course provides training in step-by-step methods to powerful change. We also engage in group prayers during the class to combine and amplify our intention toward world peace and happiness.

and MeditationMeditation classes for everyone with our Resident Teacher, Kadam Ethan Lechner
Tuesdays, 7-8:15pm, March 24 - April 14
Cost: $12/class, members free“In his Dharma teachings, Buddha advises us not to seek happiness outside ourself, but
to establish it within our mind.” - Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, How to Solve Our Human
ProblemsWhen things go wrong in our life and we encounter difficult situations, we tend to
regard the situation itself as our problem, but in reality whatever problems we
experience come from the side of the mind. If we were to respond to difficult situations
with a positive or peaceful mind they would not be problems for us; indeed, we may
even come to regard them as challenges or opportunities for growth and development.
Problems arise only if we respond to difficulties with a negative state of mind. Therefore,
if we want to be free from problems, we must transform our mind.
In these classes, Ethan Lechner will introduce the nature and continuity of the mind,
using meditation as a tool to purify and control our mind.Recommended reading: How to Solve Our Human Problems by Geshe Kelsang
