What we’re about
Cocktails & Conversation is Going Places!
Our goal is to have adventures in dining and reading. We will explore restaurants/pubs on Long Island that will allow us to experience local and international dishes one event, and dive into books that will entertain and/or provoke lots of conversation the next.
This group was created to have a night where we can relax, de-stress from hectic daily life, and have a laugh. There will be a suggested topic to kick-start conversation every event and a lively conversation is guaranteed. All are welcome. Please be kind or you will be removed.
FOR DINING - seats are limited to 8, and members w/o a photo cannot attend as there's no way of identifying each other. Also, if no new members make the "Attending" list and a seat opens up, I will pick the first new member (if any) on the "Wait" list to provide them an opportunity to try this group. The amount due is figured out by adding up items ordered and multiplying that sum by 1.3%
FOR BOOKS - feel free to attend having read all of the book, some of it, or none! Simply hanging out is encouraged and discussions are not limited to the book picked. Even thought it's usually held at a bar, ordering a drink is not required.
We look forward to meeting you over some COCKTAILS & CONVERSATION!

- Dinner Adventure: Spicy Halloween Eve 🔮👻Voodoo Crab, Massapequa , NY
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble . . . 🧉Let's gather around the table and cast our own spell of a good time with a cocktail (or two) and bite into some steak, succulent shrimp or zesty crawfish. I'm pretty sure there will be no newts or bats on the menu.
This year we are going to skip Oktoberfest (because nothing could top last year’s dinner marathon…) and try some Creole to celebrate Mischief Night with its spicy tastes and history.
Prepare to indulge in a cajun feast, well crafted cocktails, and an atmosphere that will transport you to the heart of New Orleans. The perfect place to celebrate Halloween Eve with its history of voodoo, ghost stories, and supernatural beings!
We hope you can join us for this spooktacular (sorry) evening! Dressing in a supernatural outfit is encouraged. Orange and black works too. There may be prizes involved.
