Calling all nerds, Welcome to Boulder Tabletop Society!
We’re a community for Dungeons & Dragons, plus all kinds of tabletop RPGs and board games. Whether you’ve been role-playing for a long time or are new to the hobby and looking to get started, this is a space for you.

Back in 2019 our founder, Casey, was looking for the epicenter of nerd culture here in Boulder but wasn't finding anything that matched his vision. Being the enterprising sort, he decided to create the group himself and founded Boulder Tabletop Society. A lot has changed over the years as old members (sadly including Casey) move away and new members join us, but our mission has always stayed the same: to build an inclusive community for role-players, board-gamers, and nerds of all stripes while promoting gaming culture and community support throughout the city.
Today, our focus with this MeetUp group is on providing a platform for like-minded nerds to get together, make new friends, and maybe roll some dice. The majority of our events are casual new-player friendly sessions of DnD and other tabletop RPGs. Beyond that, we try to host regular socials at local breweries and restaurants to give our members the chance to make meaningful connections out of game. We also love getting together for game nights to discover new board games and revisit old favorites. Finally, we'll host a movie night whenever something on-brand releases that looks interesting.
While we don't generally host your more traditional DnD campaigns with a fixed set of players meeting each week here on MeetUp, those games are happening all the time behind the scenes. Showing up to a few one-shots and getting to know the community at our socials is a great way to get invited to one or find players to host your own.
If you're looking to run your own adventures through BTS, let us know and we'll be happy to set you up as an event organizer! Just to make sure that our members can trust our events to be inclusive and somewhat professional, we'll ask that you attend one or two events first so that we can get a chance to know you.
Finally, if you're a local business with an event space, we're currently looking for community partners to let us host with them. Please reach out if you're interested in working together.
