Berkeley Scottish Ceilidh Dance: a benefit for immigrants' rights

A benefit for East Bay Sanctuary Covenant

Join us for a Scottish Ceilidh Dance — a community gathering with live music (it’s like a square dance, but Scottish). All dances will be taught and called, no experience needed. Music by the Sunroom Sessions, with dances called by Junie Bedayn. This is a queer-friendly, all-ages event, and the Hillside Club is wheelchair-accessible.

The event is a benefit for the East Bay Sanctuary Covenant, an organization that provides free legal services to immigrants seeking asylum and deportation defense. Proceeds will go toward their cash assistance program, offering direct support to low-income immigrant families for rent, food, legal fees, medical bills, and other basic needs.
