East Bay Square Dance with live music by Round Top Stringband

In March, caller Robin Fischer returns to call the East Bay Square Dance! It's time to rip and snort! No experience necessary; no partner necessary. Kids welcome. The caller teaches each dance right before we dance it.
Doors open: 7:30 pm
Beginner lesson: 7:45-8:00 pm (arrive early--blink and you'll miss it!)
Square dancing: 8:00-10:00 pm
This is a queer-friendly event. Role-switching is encouraged. The caller may use the terms "ladies" and "gents" to refer to dance roles; these terms are taken to refer to anyone dancing those roles.
Wear dance shoes if you have them! No stiletto heels allowed.
BYOB: You may bring beer and wine. No hard alcohol allowed. Bring your water bottles!
$20 general admission
$15 member of Hillside Club or of BACDS

$6 student or low-income

We accept cash and venmo at the door.
This is a traditional or old-time square dance (not a modern or club dance). All dancers are welcome.
There is an old-time jam for musicians before the dance, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, in the small room near the front door. The jam is free. If you join the square dance, please contribute.
