✂️ What we’ll be doing

Discover different ways we can use and re-purpose items and materials to make artistic and expressive journal pages.

We’ll also explore how we can make interactive elements, such as pockets, and explore how we can think out of the box to document our memories, feelings and thoughts through the elements around us.

This workshop is perfect for those who have been curious about junk journaling, who already junk journal and would like to explore more ideas, or for those who would simply like to have a fun and crafty night while meeting new people.

What's junk journaling? 💭
Junk journaling is a creative way of transforming “junk” into interesting and unique journal pages. Similar to scrap booking, we can use paper, texture, collage, and found materials. It’s all about experimenting, re-using what you already have, and letting creativity lead.

There are no strict rules, focusing instead on creativity and personal expression. For instance, you can use a junk journal to keep memories, write in, or store things of sentimental value. The core philosophy is to enjoy the process without aiming for perfection.

Recently, junk journaling has gone viral on social media, inspiring a new wave of artists and beginners to pick up scissors, glue, and start creating.

What we’ll be doing?
There will be a real varied fruit arrangement on the table, along with decorative elements like playful fruit bowls and table cloth.

We’ll get inspired by colourful fruit like blushing strawberries, bright lemons and juicy oranges. They offer a palette that feels alive and joyful.

Their shapes are simple yet expressive, making them ideal for exploring light, shadow, texture, and composition, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced painter.

It’s a wonderful way to practice color mixing, capturing natural highlights, and experimenting with brushstrokes, all while creating something fresh and uplifting.

In this workshop, we’ll celebrate juicy colours, playful compositions, and a relaxed, creative atmosphere.
