Austin Design Jam x Portfolio Night

Join us at an off-beat Austin Design Jam to in support of your most important New Year's resolution: updating your portfolio! Put that laptop in its coziest winter sweater and let's go!

Hey, it's easy to procrastinate - we've all been there. It's hard to find enough white space on the calendar to dedicate to that portfolio refresh. So we're carving out some time for you - and adding free pizza to the deal.

The evening begins with a presentation from ACC's Professor Jeanette Woods on the latest trends in effective design portfolios and how you can set yourself apart from the competition by leaving cookie-cutter portfolio templates behind. Then we'll move into work time for you to use as needed: updating case studies, exploring new templates, or exchanging feedback with and getting inspiration from other attendees.

Whether you're a seasoned professional or are just starting out in the field of UX, visual design, or design thinking, or are just design-curious, you are welcome at the Jam! Bring your laptop and get ready to collaborate with colleagues, share ideas, eat pizza, and have serious fun getting your portfolio ready to present to hiring managers.

We'll be at 1218 WEST AVE., BUILDING 3000, across the street from the ACC Rio Grande main building and just a block from free ACC garage parking. Street parking also available. Look for our signs!
