About us

Welcome to our group. We are a community of individuals navigating the complexities of human existence, seeking clarity through enlightenment, open-minded inquiry, and the core principles of humanism.
In a world that often moves too fast, we strive to create a "slow," thoughtful space where we can openly discuss the existential questions that shape our lives. Our foundation is simple but profound: we are committed to the principle of "do no harm"—not only physically, but intellectually and emotionally.
Our Monthly Schedule:
We meet regularly in Crosby to cultivate a sense of community and intellectual growth:
1st Tuesday of the month: Book Club
We choose a book beforehand, read it, and come together to share our insights, critiques, and personal connections to the text.
3rd Tuesday of the month: Philosophical Discussion
We dive into a pre-determined existential or humanist topic. Our discussions are guided by a moderator to ensure everyone has a fair chance to speak, maintaining a respectful and balanced flow of conversation.
What to Expect:
Our meetings are designed to be a safe haven for authentic dialogue. Whether you are looking for a community that values empathy over dogma or simply wish to engage in meaningful conversations in the Crosby and Liverpool area, you are welcome here.
We currently meet from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Crosby Library. After our sessions, those who wish to continue the conversation in a more casual setting often head to a nearby pub to unwind and socialize.
Our Core Values:
1 Do No Harm: Respecting the boundaries and experiences of others is our absolute priority.
2 Intellectual Honesty: A commitment to critical thinking and self-reflection.
3 Humanistic Compassion: Valuing human dignity and kindness in every interaction.
Join us if you value depth, honesty, and the power of shared human experience. Let’s figure out the art of living, together.
