Blockheads - Blockchain Technology and Business Topics - Learn & Discuss

Details

A Blockhead | noun | block·head | \ ˈbläk-ˌhed , an enthusiast, entrepreneur, technology professional, business manager, investor, educator, activist, or other individual that is a real blockhead about everything Blockchain, and cannot stop generating use cases to revolutionize business and society while simultaneously annoying friends, co-workers, family, and life partners.

"Blockheads in Cincinnati" is designed to generate a local community that will participate in the biggest revolution in technology since Internet Protocol. Our goal is to support the use of blockchain distributed ledgers as a protocol for business and societal needs.

Format

The aspirations are to discuss at least two topics per meetup. One technical and one non-technical topic. For each topic, 15-20 minutes of presentation, and 15-20 minutes of Q&A led by a moderator.

Eventually we would like the community to propose topics, and allow a community vote to set a topic roadmap.

I will handle the initial content to get us started.

Business Topic:

"Enterprise Blockchain Features that Excite Management and Investor" will be based on a blog post you can read on my Medium blog, https://medium.com/the-age-of-autonomy/some-dlt-features-wont-open-wallets-and-others-will-da707eec91f. The focus is the business case behind a distributed system, and how it can be a game changer it multiple ways.

Technical Topic:

"Blockchain MVC with Convector" will focus on the open source Convector framework from WorldSibu, https://worldsibu.tech/. I will demonstrate how to quickly setup and create a Hyperledger Fabric 1.4 project with JavaScript Smart Contracts using their Convector MVC framework, and their DevOps tool, Hurley.
