What we’re about
This group is for adults who want to meet other adults who enjoy BTS and are looking to make new friends with similar interests.
Whether you are new to BTS, a recent army, or an OG army, you are welcome here! ☺️💜
This group will host mostly social activities that will allow you get to know others, share your passion for BTS, and do some fun BTS related activities. Some activities include happy hours, coffee dates, Sloan’s lake walks, bts book club, movie nights, bts art paint nights, and more.
Looking forward to connecting with fellow army, borahae!

See all- Summer Picnic and Paddle at Bear Creek Lake ParkNeeds location
Join us for a day of summer fun at Big Soda Lake, located in Bear Creek Lake Park (Lakewood)!
We will plan to blast some BTS tunes, picnic together and catch up, and do a group paddle sesh (optional). The lake also has a swim beach, bathrooms, and places to buy light snacks (chips, water, granola bars, etc.)
Please use GPS directions to Big Soda Lake, which has a separate parking lot, and is where we will be meeting up.
The parking lots can fill up quickly by mid-morning (10 AM ish), and there is a $15 vehicle entry fee into the park during weekends. We recommend car pooling and showing up early to secure parking, especially if you are bringing your own paddle boards.
If you would like to rent a paddle board or kayak, Rocky Mountain Paddle Boards has a location at the lake where you can secure a rental day-of, or in advance at https://rockymtnpaddleboard.com/.
Please bring:
- Your own lunch / drink of choice
- Beach towel / beach blanket
- Sunblock
- Paddle board / life jacket (optional / available to rent)
- Games you might want to play (BTS UNO!, cards)
- Gear you have you might want to share (extra beach towel, chairs, etc.)
- Anything you might want to share with the group (cold salad, fruits, chips, beers, etc)
I have extra coolers with ice, a small table, and a sun shelter I will bring.
I will plan to get there early to beat the rush (around 8 AM) to grab a space for the group near the water to set up our blankets, towels and chairs - exact location will be sent the morning of the event, as soon as we grab a spot :)
In the event of inclement weather, we will schedule for another weekend in July.

About the Book:

From Dong-ho’s best friend who meets his own fateful end; to an editor struggling against censorship; to a prisoner and a factory worker, each suffering from traumatic memories; and to Dong-ho's own grief-stricken mother; and through their collective heartbreak and acts of hope is the tale of a brutalized people in search of a voice. Please finish reading the book by this date so we can have a fun discussion 😉
